This is a great photo! Imagine doing all the work of clearing the area, virtually by hand and horse power. Our Lexington Forefathers weren't afraid of work!

The Zion AME Church can be seen at the left edge of the photo. Of course, the "real" LHS was located somewhere on the right, some 15 or so years later. But aside from the church, are there any other surviving buildings in this photo?
