Catholic Churches of Lexington

According to Your Devoted Scribe, in her email containing this photo montage, "There are three churches here, despite what the imprinted caption says. The first burned, the second collapsed, and the big one of course is current."

Looking at this picture, the number of distinct buildings seems correct. And the caption implies the largest photo was taken before 1904, which seems reasonable: Notice the dirt streets! But the locations appear to be different.

In TLC #131, Jack Gueguen reported that the first two churches were of wood, on Highland Avenue. So now we're confused! Can someone please reconcile all this??
