Some Photos Memories

The LHS Class of 1958 will be having their 50th Anniversary Reunion this fall, and their website has featured many pictures and snapshops that the members of the class have found in their musty archives. We thought that several of them would be of interest to our faithful TLC readers. Mary Pat (Gueguen) Miller '58, found these:

This is the old Odessa Ice Cream Shop. It was located on the south side of Franklin Ave., between 13^th and 14^th Streets, roughly where Mattingly Brothers Offices and Warehouse was located. This "Odessa" -- it was always "The Odessa", remember? -- predated the one built further up Franklin between 15^th and 16^th Streets during the early 1950s.

Now, this one is a real gem! Ladies, do you remember those wonderfully stylish and attractive blue gym suits??? ...'Nuff said.

We're not sure exactly when the picture was taken -- probably in the early 1950s -- nor who the lovely young ladies are. Perhaps some of our readers could supply the information to Your Faithful Scribe?
