TLC Logo An "Incident" at the Maid-Rite

This clipping was forwarded to Your Faithful Scribe. It's an advertisement for the Maid-Rite that takes note of an occurrence on an August night in 1959.

In case you're getting a little older and have trouble reading the quotation at the top of the clipping, this may help:

Break-In Attempt Fails
An attempt to break into the Maid-Rite Drive-In at 14th and Main Streets here failed last night, although the would-be intruder cut the screen on an east window, the owner, Norman Vialle, reported today. Mr. Vialle said the window apparently was too small for the culprit to enter, but the thief reached through the opening and pulled a potato chip rack to the window, dropping some of the packages on the floor and apparently getting away with some of the packages.
